Not sure what you mean by 'name brand boutiques'. I was there on July 2-5 and everywhere in Seattle was no problem with the discount. In Banana Republic they were practically advertising it in the dressing room. Also had success at Macy's, Nordstrom's Rack, White House Black Market and Whole Foods. Further north in Tulalip Outlets, tax was waived at BCBG but they had to photocopy my licence first. At Puma, they said it was their 'store policy' not to provide the tax break, so no luck there. At the gas station in Blaine, the attendant told me they were waiting for the court ruling and was surprised to hear about my success in Seattle. In all I was pleasantly surprised how knowledgable all the sales clerks were about our new HST. It makes cross border shopping even more of a great deal!
