I'm thinking of trying NH for the first time and sampling their 'Inspiration of Japan' product on the 77W. Need to know some things:

i) Can I use Star Alliance partner points to redeem a seat in Y?

ii) How's this new product compared to the older one used on NH1/2 (NRT-IAD vv) and NH11/12 (NRT-ORD vv)?

iii) How's the food in Y ex-NRT? (Been hearing it's similar to North American Y portions and standards, which is shocking.) Also, are menus given out?

Can those who've experienced the old and new products give an opinion?
