I understand that there are no bulkheads with bassinet facility in the Economy Comfort section on the B744. 9A-B-C are emergency exit rows and 10D-E have just a small partition not a wall in front.

If you want a bassinet then Y it will be but bear in mind this does reduce your room.

However, the D-E pairs in Economy Comfort have a lot of room between the E seat and the galley wall so they might actually better suit your sister during the flight to stow bagage etc.

If your child is >1 and would like to walk around, I'd spend the extra money on Economy Comfort.
