We travel frequently on cruises and on international trips lasting several weeks. We travel with 2 bags - one weighs about 65# and the other about 50#. This is not excessive. If they are going to charge, we can check twice as many (lighter) bags. How would that solve any problem?? Changes such as NW's sound great to a business traveler who is away for a day or two, but it won't sound so great when you and your wife go on an extended vacation.
