Why do you think that is? Is it simply a cultural thing? Or a level of training and professionalism that US carriers to not provide due to cost? Or something else? (Just thinking out loud)
My conjecture, based on my travel experiences ( and I have a friend who used to be an FA on Jet Airways and she mentioned things in passing on how she was trained )

1. Jet trained their FAs to treat passengers (irrespective of which class they were flying) as guests - it showed - on one flit from MAA to BLR (around 20 / 25 minutes) we were served a quick snack and a soft drink)

2. More FAs per aircraft, so the load is spread

3. Cultural too - I am always shocked by the sense of entitlement most FF exhibit on US airlines
