boarding passes

aacharya,

I don't think the police would use it as ID, but lets assume this person started trouble with other passengers or the FA's. A quick look on the manifest shows the seat is occupied by jtstoney.

Also, what about the TSA Secure Flight program. My name and ID has to match my ticket to a tee, but shouldn't his, also?

And what about any subsequent legs on the trip? With an old boarding pass, all he has to do is simply go to a kiosk and rescan the code for a new pass, or make changes. I frequently use my orgin pass to rescan for my return.

What about the Elite's that should have gotten that seat. Wouldn't you be mad if you were on that flight, in the last row, while soom first time flyer was put up front based on some other flyers miles?

As far as used tickets that others have discarded, I agree that they should keep them and destroy them later. But its their poor choice.

But the jist of it is, I didn't throw it away, or hand it to someone else, Continental did. And I expect them to be more secure with my information when I deal with them.

Just my thoughts,

JT
