US would look at what posted from SPG (and the 20 + 5 would just post a single time as 25K) and you'd get the 50% bonus from that, so 12.5K. So 20K SPG points will turn into 37.5K US miles with the Blockbuster bonus.

That's really great! I'm glad I asked. Both this promotion and the new Delta flights to Palau are great news. Is there a maximum # of points you can transfer?
Given the new Delta options to Palau, we might actually look into using Delta (where we have miles) to Palau, and use the US/SPG promotion to get miles to go to Europe next summer.
I guess my only question is how hard is it to redeem "low" awards on US? For example, can you get "low" awards to Europe in the summer if you book 11 months in advance and are willing to fly on any Star Alliance partner? From my experience, it's been easiest to use miles on AA and UAL and the hardest on Delta. How does US rate? I would hate to transfer a boat load of my versatile SPG points and have them stuck in a program that is difficult to use (or where you can only book medium/high awards).
