BA can be as stingy as the rest on certain routes like LHR-SIN and anywhere-SYD but on routes like JFK-LHR they are very open.
Unfortunately, this has not been my experience in recent months. Award and UG availability JFK-LHR is much tighter than last year, particularly if one's schedule is not very flexible.
