Envoy lounge set up

The lounge is a pretty cool spot to hang before your departure. I agree that the folks manning the place consider it for departures only but if you are flying from outside the country and have status on another airline (and are non US citizen) I think they might let you stop in as a curtesy. Not likely though if your a US citizen even with status or club membership. They seem to want to push us to the standard club even thought we came in flying on an Envoy ticket and still had a domestic leg to go.

As you enter the club after checking in, you'll find that it's very, very large and set up with many seating areas. Long and narrow is the shape with duplicated buffett areas at either end so no reason to think your missing a food type. You'll find pastas, fresh veggies, fruit, crackers and cut cheese, deli meats and often some spreads like hummus and the like. Go to your right and you'll find a nice bar area that has full complimentary drinks and often a few people socializing. If you make your way to the left end of the long room (opposite end from the full bar) you will find a self serve beverage area that does have wine (and maybe beer) but absolutely self serve wine.

All in all, it's a nice place and better than any domestic carriers Int lounge....that being said, for you *G Int folks from other countries and carriers, it's not quit like a Luftansa Senator lounge in Frankfurt or the new BMI lounge at Heathrow.

Have fun.
