Greetings, from Harare, more specifically, the Hotel Meikles in which I am on the 8th floor, overlooking downtown. Today I experienced the first rolling blackout, along with the staff imploring me from not passing through the market directly across from the front entrance of the hotel. What makes it a little less fun is since the Zimbabwean Dollar was suspended, they have resorted to US Dollars. Gone are the days of needing to carry bricks of large denominations. But other than that, HRE is what it always is, and the people are quite friendly--however, the Hotel does not have Woodford, but, in it's place they have a traditional local beverage which is very good.
