I stayed at this property last weekend. I thought I would provide some updated info. I am copying my Tripadisor review below. Please let me know if there are too many pics in this post and I can delete some of them.

I had stayed at this property in the past on one nigh stopovers for my trips to Asia but it had been closed for almost two years. I was looking forward to seeing how it was since the renovations etc.

Check In: We arrived late via car but the check in person was nice and new who we were already as we were the only people left to check in for that day. As a Hilton Honors Gold member I was given breakfast vouchers fo each day and two bottles of water.

Room: I like the new colors and decorations for the Hilton Garden Inn rooms! The bed was comfortable although I did not find out how to set how firm the mattress was until we left but it did not matter as it was find during our stay. The room has wired and wirless internet at no cost. We did have problems with the air conditioning in our room and the hotel was very responsive but just could not get the thermostat fixed. Since it was the last night of our stay we just stayed in our room and left the window open at night and that cooled things down enough. I think the AC problem was just a part of working out the bugs of the new equipment. Overall the room was very nice and comfortable. As far as rooms with a view, the high number even rooms should offer the best views of the planes landing and the bay but it would probably be limited as the windows are not that big. The odd number rooms face the hiway but we did not hear the road noise at all so not a problem for us.

Restaurant: We only had breakfast at the hotel but it is open for breakfast lunch and dinner. Breakfast closes at 10am M-F and till 11am on the weekend. Dinner ends at 10.30pm. Breakfast was $8.95 for the continental options and $11.95 if you want hot options like french toast, pancakes, waffles, eggs, bacon and sausage which is ordered from the waiter as opposed to being served buffet style which I like a lot. It was pretty good and although we did not pay for breakfast I thought it was good value for the price as it included drinks etc. The waiters were excellent each day.

Location: This is an airport property and not in the city but in my opinion it makes for a nice home base for tourism in the bay area. Assuming you plan on doing more than just the downtown area. It is iin a business park but the office buildings do not seem full and some are completely empty but the area is not run down at all. There are also several other hotels in the area including Red Roof Inn, Doubletree, Hilton and Embassy Suites. Each hotel has its own restuarant but there is also a Kincaids over on the bay about 10-15 minutes walk from the hotel and it is a great restaurant. http://www.kincaids.com/page/home (Burlingame Location). If you dont have a car you are really limited to Kincaids or the hotels restaurants.

The best part of the location in my opinion is that it is only about two blocks from the bay and a walking path and it is a great place to watch planes landing at SFO. A very nice area to relax, take a walk or jog etc.

Shuttles/Transportation: Parking is free here and watch this as some of the other properties nearby charge for parking. The shuttles run every 20 minutes and although they hit several properties they never seemed overly full. You can take the shuttle to the airport and catch the BART into the city. The hotel is close for access to the 101 which is nice.

Pool/Fitness/Misc: Fitness area looked nicer than most Hilton Garden Inn properties but the pool was as small as you would expect and was indoors. They also have laundry machines available.

Summary: I find this to be a very comfortable property and really like the area and access to the bay. Dont worry about a room with a view, get out of the room and go take a walk on the nice pathy way and sit and watch the planes land over the bay!
