Starehe, Goofy foot,
I have travelled the other routes frequently on the refurb 747, and it is comfortable, like an old pair of slippers. TG have newer 773 on two routes now, so we all think the days of the older model being swapped are few and far between. They will be used for the northern backpackers to get to the sunny islands and also on regional runs. Like all things mechanical if 3/4 go u/s at the same time, well, maybe we shouldn't think too much about that scenario.
I believe the best crique of the TG flights can be found on sqtalk.com
There is a thread there started by dukesy on page 2 of the Star Alliance Airline page. Keeping in mind these are SQ flyers, the reports are not biased and are very direct. On the same page you can scroll through the TG menus for the flights. The movies are not the latest and the best, the pjs are very good, and I love Asian food especially Thai. If I had the money I would more than likely travel through the ME, but with the 773 on the Paris run, I will be with TG for a while longer. I knew watching the football in Africa would come in handy one day
