Actually, TN did nothing to "cause" the situation; this was not an airline strike but a general strike in Papeete by civil servants.
They most certainly caused the situation we and others found ourselves in (flying across the country to LAX only to find no flights to PPT were operating), by failing to notify us of the flight cancellations.
