I got bumped out of F on an upgrade with miles on a trans-con. Was pretty bummed out but I did get $500, all my miles/fees back, and a Y fare class so +50% EQM. I actually ended up making money on the flight.

Overall I think I was compensated good but I did have to inquire about what happened. They didn't go out of their way to page me or anything. Without the inquiry, probably wouldn't have received the $500.
