That is not a free upgrade of an award ticket as mentioned above. It was an Op-Up which do happen. I fly BE to the EU and Asia several times a quarter and I can tell you with 100% certainty that there are no free upgrades to Business Class on an award ticket other than "Operational Upgrades" which are done because DL needs the seat, not because they like us.
