To the OP - perhaps they used "price paid" excluding the miles to determine who got bumped down.....not saying it's the right thing to do, but not sure what other means FTers think is the way to bump - by fare class/status/etc.

I'd hate to be a non-elite on a full FC fare and be bumped versus a Plat on a W fare who was upgraded......not saying you deserved to be bumped first, but just thinking out loud about the categorization.
