Good post by gfunkdave. There are robberies and rapes in Lincoln Park and adjacent areas, because there are plenty of people who walk alone at night thinking that the neighborhood is immune from crime.

Use common sense and you'll be fine. Somebody walking home drunk from a bar at 2 a.m. is easy prey.
