If it was me, I'd probably be on the side of adding back ammenities (like removing bag fees, bringing back hot meals, etc...), while raising or maintaining the current price levels. I really don't see following the Ryan Air example to be one that's the right choice. That being said unfortunately most consumers only see the base dollar value. So that goes back to the ever standing point that it's a messy problem with a messy solution.
The one example that I'd love for the legacies to follow, in part, would be Jet Blue.
Like I said, I never liked Ryanair, but they do turn a profit, so they must be doing something right. The #1 goal of any business is to make money, otherwise, convert the business to a non-profit organization.
