Absolutely. It's the same for opening up seats by the curtain on short-haul and bassinet positions on long-haul (although some like 64K need to be booked by phone). I think its better to refer to T-3d, not T-72 which implies spurious precision.

baggageinhall has noted, there's always a hell of a lot of movement in the First Class cabin. Since I'm only ever there on an MFU'd I or D fare, or a sale A fare, I never have any flexibility, but clearly I'm the exception. Seats come and go like yo-yos, especially in the few days preceding the flight.
