We just went through Forks the other day for some backcountry excursions, and I had to stop at Forks Outfitters for some random stuff. I kid you not, we actually ran out of plastic forks!!! We camp out in this area all the time, so the whole Twilight is almost comical to me.
It used to be a sleepy little town with not a young person in sight (probably a mass exodus of young to the city like any other rural area), with scruffy loggers wearing overalls. Now, it is completely overran with cityslicker teens in Twilight garb and dyed hair...and this was on some random Tuesday. They completely ruined the town

(To add insult to injury, my wife has a warewolf hoodie with little ears on it)
If they actually filmed everything in the town, maybe it would be one thing, but they just gave the impression they did.
Forks Outfitters randomly sell Twlight shirts throughout the store, there are random spray painted signs from local run down motels "welcoming twlighters", a store dedicated to Twlight merchandize and some other poor community attempts to capitalize on the movie. There is a local motel that actually has a pretty decent Twilight decorated room.
The only thing of value in the area is to maybe drive THROUGH Forks, and out towards La Push and hike down to Second Beach or Third Beach (I believe Second Beach was a film location?) There are some interesting rock outcroppings and forested areas that put the Vancouver film locations to shame. Arguably one of the most beautiful beach locations in the state.
The drive out is amazing, and perhaps you will all be distracted by Washington's beauty instead.
