While I have no idea of the FA's ability to interact with the LiveTV system, I would offer that the parents of the minor have a responsibility to plan ahead and ensure that the child has the essentials he or she will need for the flight, including a snack or money for BoB when it is rolled out, as well as something for entertainment. Though, when I was a kid, watching the world go by was enough for me.
