Yes you are missing something, though in a good way in your case or not missing something depending on how you look at it. Prems/Golds etc. can select 1A/K but mere Silvers/Blues/Regular Pax cannot. I assume therefore you are one of the first bunch and therefore are not missing top tier status or possibly have an infant in the booking.
