Presumably theres commercial cover for something like this and BA would rebook you on the 001 the next day if after the delay you were cleared access.
It would be too late probably for a different carrier.

That said,surely there is going to be a process when the green form is dropped for visa waiver countries to electronically avoid boarding for problem pax?
