For what it's worth, stayed at the HI in Nanjing. The hotel changed their policy for Platinum's about a year ago and no longer allows lounge access for platinums, it is now a pay only access.

Was very disappointed with this change, as one of the primary reasons for using points there was to get access to the lounge. Our "upgrade" was not that impressive either, so the only real perk was a small plate of fruit (which was pretty small).

Since the IC prices are not bad there, next time I'll stay there instead.
