It took me six weeks to get a refund for the $20 ticketing fee erroneously charged when booking a ticket for an unaccompanied minor.

And to add insult to injury, Delta informed me that I can no longer pay the fee ahead of time; it has to be paid at an airport. Which in this case means wiring the money to a friend in Berlin so he can pay it when he sees my girl off at TXL. The phone agent said I could pay the fee at any point between now and then when I'm at any airport, but I wasn't about to trust that information and end up in a situation where my friend would potentially end up with a hassle over the fee. I just didn't trust the crazy-sounding info Delta was giving me.
