There is a VERY high chance of getting a lie-flat 752 on the EWR-LIM flight as it is usually operated by the aircraft that runs the late LHR-EWR flight. As for it being "a shame" that the service is inconsistent, I suppose so, but the product on that flight is not so bad, especially if you're not counting on the EUA to get into the front cabin anyways.
The way I see it, the product is "not bad" IF you could still EUA into it. As is, to use miles and copay extra $$$ to up to it, this BF "light" is not worth it. Or pay the big bucks BF fare, somehow I fail to see the value on this.
