The Canada forum does get a lot of locals looking in (we'll answer when a question such as this is raised). Just not that much interest in travel within/in/out of Canada that's not in the AC forum!

Looks like YMMV on this one. I'd always advise early clearance on mornings especially during cruise season. I went through YVR 1st Tuesday last month for a noon departure and would say immigration wait was maybe 5-10 minutes at most (I had Nexus so bypassed that) and security was about that if not less. Ended up with way too much time airside (took transit to the airport and it took about 30-4o minutes less than I expected/allowed).

Do note that checkin is cutoff 60 minutes prior so 60 minutes isn't that much shorter than 90 minutes.
