oooh yes.... I'm the go to colleague for most of my indian colleagues at work and we booked AI 3 times so far where the price qouted beat US Air or bmi miles deals () each time the price was around 1000$ for the high xmas season... expedia took the booking with confirmation number and all, then usually 2-3 days later a very apologetic employee calls to explain that AI didn't honor the fare and wouldn't allow them to issue the ticket. Since we usually organised alternatives on awards issued with purchased miles in business, the option of fighting AI for a JFKorORD-India 13-14h direct in Y vs a confirmed LX or LH C award didn't really make it worth the effort.
