I wonder if any of the posters in this thread are able to make this leap of logic? If there were the slightest chance that any of these electronic devices could cause an airplane to crash, we simply would not be allowed to take them on board. They would be confiscated at the security checkpoint with our water and shampoo bottles.

There is no argument against the above that exists in the world of reality. I know from reading many of the above posts that some of you don't believe in the real world, but for the ones that do....

The only argument against using any electronic device on board an airplane is that members of the flight crew can create hell for you if you disobey them. No matter if it makes sense or not, you have no recourse against their will.
