I grew up with this as part of the common vernacular. We're a big country and I'd suggest just spending a few weeks in the UK. Just one difference in English usage from one village to another (from my experience just a few miles apart) is much greater than a difference from state to state in the US. It is what it is. Plus who here would rather hear ya'll than you's guys?
