Addendum to the above idea: If you have a Mastercard, book and buy on the UAL Canadian site. There is a 10k booking bonus in addition to the normal 1-2k (12k in all) for online reservations and purchases for tickets purchased by 25 June and paid using MC. If you buy 2 mileage runs to SIN (can complete travel through April 2002), you'll get over 20k in booking bonuses in addition to the flight miles and bonuses.
