On short-haul, the business class "cabin" was the same seats and a curtain separating the front two rows from coach. No booze in either cabin, as others have stated. It was pricing $10 more than coach on most of my segments - an utter waste of $10 unless you're getting an extra half EQS from the deal and you actually need the EQS.
Long-haul I didn't fly 'em. From what I've read here, the only purpose for flying MS long-haul is if you simply have no other way to get to Egypt in a reasonable amount of time. If I'm sitting in New York and need to be at a meeting in Cairo tomorrow, okay, I'm flying the MS nonstop (hopefully in biz). Otherwise, I'll pick a couple of other *A carriers and go through FRA or something. Last year I went through VIE and flew a "premium short-haul" Austrian flight to Cairo. Nice service/seats for an A320...
