Hey, I'm new to FT, but saw this thread and remembered one time on EK when a Y class pax decided to upgrade himself (to J) a few hours into JFK-DXB, somehow got away with it for an hour or so, then was brought back to Y, and was yelling (and I mean YELLING at the pursar - he woke me up) about how she had no right to make him sit back here. Then he asked not one, not two, but three different FA's if they'd mind letting him sit in his seat "up-ahead."
