Sleeping.

In the bathroom.

In the lounge.

At the wrong gate.

In a restaurant.

Left the airport to meet someone in the city/elsewhere during a transit.

Relying upon a different boarding pass than the one tied to the bags.

Didn't realize bags were tagged incorrectly.

Stuck with customs/immigration (more usual for a passenger arriving in/transiting a country beside the US).
