No but they have First on LHR-LAX, then it's a small jump to LAS.

Sounds like he was in a grumpy mood. Complaining about info from flight deck is a bit childish. I have never experienced a "chatty" BA captain. Even on long-haul they usually keep it to 3-4 announcements.

I'm also surprised about the a/c, I think a 747 has plenty of a/c fans.
