Maybe, but I've stayed in some of the very first ones opened and they did have at least one USB port. It may have been enabled for charging a device only, though, and that's all I've ever done.
Agreed that the box has great functionality. There are a couple of slightly varying versions of it out there that appear to be from different suppliers. All of them I've seen still have the oddball iPod/iPhone connector that I've never seen a cable that would fit.
