I've heard different answers to this from four different agents today.

As a UA 1K (*Gold) -- should I be able to book/request the exit rows without paying the "extra legroom" upcharge?

I'm doing EWR-OSL in about an hour and I ended up paying $89 for 21C, but the agent here at the President's club said I shouldn't have... (I told her that she needed to tell that to the agent that checked me in in RDU and made me pay the fee. ;-)

Since FT is often more authoritative than the respective airlines, I figured I'd ask here...
