Was on the DME-LHR flight yesterday afternoon and was sitting in 17K just behind the divide separating CE from ET when I heard the cabin crew ask politely to see the boarding card of the lady who had seated herself in 16K.
After some supposed language problems it was clear that the passengers seat was 17E in the middle of ET. It was only when the stewardess had departed that the passenger was heard to say excuse me in a faultless birmingham accent.
Is this a regular occurance on board ?, I seem to recall a previous thread on this subject but could not find it on searching.

I'm not sure how much this happens but it is so cheeky to just plonk yourself there - good job the crew were on the ball - I wonder if any slip through the net? Perhaps she was used to LCC without assigned seating (unlikely but trying to find an excuse as I can't believe this happened!).
