I have just returned from a flight via Delta Airlines from Cancun to Detroit. When I opened my luggage I saw an EMPTY camcorder case, a missing camera and 2 bottles of tequila were all MISSING!
I went straight to security and customer service and they told me that there is nothing they can do about it because it probably happened in Mexico! How do I know where this happened and regardless of that my luggage was in the possession of Delta employees once it left my hands.
I called customer service and I am being told same thing after numerous phone calls, that they are not liable for my stolen items and that I put these things in my luggage at my own risk. I have never had anything stolen from my luggage in my life until now and I am so upset about this. I do not have the money to just replace these things. How could Delta not be liable for this???
Please help I do not know what else to do.
