I seem to be having a problem where my companion on the same PNR and myself were both upgraded to adjacent seats 12 hours before the flight, but the OLCI only works for me (the PM) to check in and my companion (no status) can't check in online at all. It just gives me the message: "Your request could not be processed. Check with an agent at airport." I figured they may be an issue with the ticket, so I called reservations and she said that everything appears in order and to just try checking him in using the confirmation number instead. I did that, but I still have the same issue. One of my most paranoid fears is going to the airport knowing that there are potential "issues" with our ticket and having to deal with him either losing his seat or missing the flight because the agent spends an hour on the phone to fix a bizarre system problem.
In summary:
- We are on the same PNR
- I am PM, but he has no status.
- We were both already upgraded to adjacent seats in F as of an hour or so ago
- We are both traveling on "L" fares on the outbound leg ("K" fares on the return on Tuesday)
- I was able to check in online, but he cannot.
So is my paranoia justified? I've had stranger things happen with Delta in the past when attempting to check in at the kiosk due to the "request cannot be processed" message, so I would just like to avoid any problems as far in advance as possible...

Any thoughts would be appreciated!
