You want quirky and quintessentially English around London? Here's two other (non-luxury) options from Landmark Trust. True, they're about a 10 minute walk plus 25 minute train ride to central London, but the only way to get MORE English than Henry VIII's house would be to get lodgings in Buckingham Palace!
