I was on hold with Asia Miles 1866 # for > 2 hours now. This is very frustrating. We have 3 x 18500 asia miles that we would like to redeem for an award travel from OGG (maui, HI) to SJC (san Jose, CA).

According the miles convertion tool https://www.asiamiles.com/am/en/redeem/conversion, it says I need $60 more for those extra miles, which is fine.

It gives me the option to book through AA,
1. whom should I call now for making the award reservation - Asia miles/AA?
2. How will I pay the difference of $60? Are there any other charge I need to be aware of?
3. Can I do the booking with AA 1800 # if I give my Cathay Asia miles info?
