I have a lovely story about this...

I was operating an ARN many months ago and was working in Club with the CSD.

A lovely couple, mid 70's were onboard on the last leg of a 6 month round the world trip. The last 5 days having been spent in London and they were so very taken with the cups on the trays. They were asking me if they were correct with what they thought the images were on them etc... I believe there are a set of 6.

2 x beach/coast views.
2 x Millennium Bridge
2 x London skyline.

We chatted for a good 10 minutes about their trip and they were really one of the most lovely couples I had the pleasure to talk to onboard.

After speaking with the CSD, I spent the next 10 minutes trying to amass the collection of 6. Which was eventually achieved after hunting through dirty catering trays and doing some washing up in the galley. I wrapped them all in paper towels and bagged them all and discreetly presented them to the couple who were absolutely overjoyed and quite speechless. They told me that they would drink their morning coffee from them every day from their deck/terrace overlooking some Swedish fjord and mountain scene... and that made me happy.

So many of them get broken and chipped/cracked that loosing a few to give a lovely memory to a delightful couple is worth it.
