Can someone who's been here before tell me whether the facilities/activities for kids are good or not (e.g. kids camp and kiddie pool)? our last vacation was at the Hyatt Maui with its great kids pool and slide. Confirmed suite upgrade gets you the regency club suite. However, as we found out last night, not all regency club suites are equal. Only half of them have the advertised rain shower, and none of them have ceiling fans (as stated on website).
We had to leave our first room, 915, because there was a terrible leak in the bathroom from the ceiling and the air conditioner in the living room did not work. How do I define terrible leak? When I walked into bathroom it looked like someone had dumped a large bucket of water on the toilet and floor.
Our new room, 1115, is also a regency club suite, but on one of the regency club floors. It has two rain showers instead of the standard tub/shower combo and is overall nicer than the one on floor 9. For example, bathroom vanities are made of marble. But most of all, the ac works!
Still withholding judgement on the hotel. Our first room was a lemon, so I am sure that clouded my judgement, and we didn't get in our new room until 9 pm last night. Regency club is nice and staff is kind. I realized though that there has been no mention of a diamond amenity, so I will look into that today.
Late lunch at Grill yesterday was fantastic.
Off to explore beach and pool now!
