NO ONE can be *forced* to go through the x-ray - they can ask, your son and his colleagues can refuse and be patted down. If it becomes an issue, he/they should escalate to the TSA manager on the spot, and if necessary, get a group together and escalate to the airport director and FSD in person.

They were not forced - they voluntarily submitted to intimidation.
