I fly Nice in CE every year during August and I'd say that there was every possibility of CE going back to row 11 or beyond. Also, planes do tend to get pretty packed and if the CE cabin is really large that puts lots of pressure on seat capacity in the ET cabin. I would have thought a vacant middle seat in anything other than the first left-hand row of ET was very optimistic.
Now the convertable CE seating is back, the first row of ET remains in CE configuration with the middle seat squashed, to allow trolley access as noted. The B seat is not just blocked, unless you are a midget it doesn't really exist.
Anyway, good luck, but I wouldn't hold your breath on the curtain staying where it is and the middle seat remaining empty.
