I've almost always taken the taxi ezeiza, as I'm tired after the long trip down. A remis is usually a private car used as a taxi. I've used them on occasion.

The Tienda Leon service, I would call a shuttle bus. I think it takes you to it's station (Microcentro area?), and there is another smaller bus that will take you to your hotel, not sure if it's included or costs more. The IC is not too far away, certainly less than a 10 peso cab ride.

Yes, the US raised its fees to $140, so they matched it. Go, reciprocity!

I'd certainly buy an Ambassador membership. Someone posted earlier today that the fee was going up to $200, but I don't know if that has been verified or not.

Certainly look through the promo section, and sign up for some of them. The IC is not ideally placed in EZE, but it's not too far off the beaten track. I stayed for 12 nights as a non-PC member using 5k pointbreak nights, a few years back and wish I has signed up for Ambassador back then.

I think if you were Ambassador, you'd have no problem checking in at 9:00am, but of course it depends on if they have rooms available or not. I'll be staying at this hotel later this year as an RA, so hope you have a nice stay there.

And changing dollars at the airport bank (mentioned in Gaucho's thread), is the best way. Watch out for the other ripoff money changers, certainly. I hope you also perused a lot of the other info on the various Argentina threads.

Lots of neat stuff in the city, but a few of the normal scams. Many involve taxis. Make sure you get LOTS of small bills at the airport bank. Some places don't have change readily available, and if you give exact change, that will often negate some of the scams they try to pull on you.
