I see there are three Marriott properties in St. Petersburg.

1. Renaissance St. Petersburg Baltic Hotel
Regular rate 9,000 RUB, or Adv. Purch 6,800 RUB


2. Courtyard St. Petersburg Vasilievsky
Regular rate 6,500 RUB, or Adv. Purch 5,000 RUB

3. Courtyard St. Petersburg Center West/Pushkin Hotel
Regular rate 6,000 RUB, or Promo Rate 3,990 RUB


Obviously, I'd love to stay at the Ren, I assume it's a nicer property; and it's also closer to where my wife's mother will be staying. The Advance Purchase rate isn't really all that bad (about $220) but since all our visas haven't arrived yet, I wouldn't want to book that.

The Promo Rate at the Courtyard Pushkin is pretty darn good (about $130/night). I went ahead and booked that since there is nothing to lose at this point. There is also a rate for an extra 1000 rubles that includes breakfast buffet.

I don't know many websites to check for possible LNF rates. The typical US-based sites I tried gave prices in $ that were pretty much the same as the RUB prices with the 31 RUB/$ exchange rate.

I'd love it if someone can find me a better deal, especially on the Ren.
