On JL 61/62, JAL has the Seasons Business class seats with improved seat pitch of 60 and the Japanese food was amazing. My sister flew its J this summer and she said the food was good... she took pictures of it... and a lobster was featured in one of the appetizers.

On JL 25, the flight came in from LAS, it got the Season seats, but they may not have the improved J seats of 60" but you will get the regular 50". The flight may also be operated by the more ancient Boeing 747-300. Just be aware of it.

JAL F is pretty nice as well, but I am not sure if LAX-NRT has the new solo suites yet.
