I recently took AA in business from DFW to NRT and the next day from NRT to SIN on JL in economy. The economy class service on JL was at least as good as the J class class service on the AA flight, if not better. Of course the food was still "coach" but very good. If that's any indication of what to expect from JL's business class, go for it.
